You are entitled to a basic NHS adult eye tests every two years (every year if under 16 years old) if you fulfil any of the criteria listed on the NHS website.

The NHS eye test covers a very basic eye health and vision check. The majority of our patients recognise our investment over and above the basic NHS test and upgrade to our Advanced Eye Exam allowing us to use the latest scans and spend the time needed with you.

You have the right to have your prescription dispensed wherever you choose However, as prescribing and dispensing of spectacles are closely linked, it is best to have your spectacles dispensed where you have your eye examined. It is often more difficult to resolve any problems you may have with your spectacles when prescribing and supply are separated.
